A2 Training

The A2 licence is the standard motorcycle licence and this test is taken on a 125cc machine that must be capable of at least 62.5 mph.

On completion of the A2 licence course and test this means that the rider will have a Full Motorbike Licence and can take off the L Plates, carry a passenger and ride on the motorway. The rider however will be restricted for 2 years to riding a machine of no more than 33bhp. This is roughly the power on an unrestricted 250cc machine, if the rider would like a larger biker then this is permitted if the bike is fitted with a restrictor kit to restrict the bike power to less than 33bhp.

After 2 Years you are then able to ride any machine of any power without having to take tests as this is an automatic change. The requirements to be able to complete the A2 Restricted Licence Course are below:

- Over 17 years of age

- Hold a valid UK driving licence with Category A (motorcycle entitlement)

- A current CBT certificate (We offer this in the price if required)

- A Written Theory test pass certificate (This should be obtained before the start of the course)
